Member Spotlight
Hello, I'm Surendra Rawat, a chef from the majestic Himalayan mountains of India. Growing up in the breathtaking beauty of the Himalayas, I helped my family grow our vegetables and greens on the mountain slopes, which sparked my passion for cooking.
As a kid, I started cooking and never looked back. I pursued my dream in Noida, a city near New Delhi, India, where I worked my way up from small street restaurants to luxurious five-star hotels.
My travels took me to 5-6 northern Indian states, where I discovered the diversity of north Indian cuisine. In India, every 50 miles brings a new dialect and a new flavor. This journey gave me a deep understanding of the nuances of north Indian food.
My profession brought me to the United States in 2017, where I joined India Palace as an executive chef. I'm proud to share my Indian heritage and cuisine with the community here.
